Officially Licensed VMM-263 Thunder Chicken Plank Owner Patch

Officially Licensed VMM-263 Thunder Chicken Plank Owner Patch — Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 Thunder Chickens Plank Owner Embroidered Patch

Thunder Chicken plank owners — VMM-263's founding members.

This VMM-263 "Thunder Chickens" plank owner patch identifies the original members who were present when the squadron transitioned to the MV-22B Osprey and stood up as a tiltrotor squadron, earning the coveted "plank owner" distinction. Based at MCAS New River, North Carolina, VMM-263 operates within MAG-26 under 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.

Plank ownership in a military squadron carries deep meaning — these are the Marines who built the new organization from scratch, establishing standard operating procedures, maintenance protocols, training syllabi, and the squadron culture that subsequent generations will inherit. VMM-263's Thunder Chickens plank owners navigated the complex transition from legacy helicopters to the revolutionary MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor, learning a completely new aircraft while simultaneously building the infrastructure to support it. The Thunder Chickens' irreverent name and warrior spirit made this transition uniquely VMM-263 — loud, proud, and unstoppable. This patch is reserved exclusively for the Marines who were there at the beginning.

This patch identifies VMM-263's founding plank owners.

Perfect For: VMM-263 Thunder Chickens plank owners, MV-22 Osprey transition team members, founding squadron personnel, and plank owner patch collectors.
